Restored antiques, placed in contemporary life.
Acanthus Home is a curatorial atelier devoted to restored antique furniture and enduring interior forms. Our collection is shaped by craftsmanship, material memory, and restraint rather than trend or spectacle. We work with objects that have lived before and prepare them for continued use, returning them to circulation with care, clarity, and intention.
True luxury is not manufactured at scale. It is inherited, stewarded, and reintroduced through use.
ROOTED IN LOS ANGELES
Rooted on the Palos Verdes Peninsula of Los Angeles, Acanthus Home serves interior designers, collectors, and aesthetes who seek objects with continuity rather than novelty. Our holdings include 19th-century seating, marble-topped tables, carved cabinets, and domestic forms shaped by European and American traditions of craft.
Each piece is studied, structurally restored, and finished with materials selected for longevity and presence. Upholstery and textiles are sourced from heritage houses including Maison Pierre Frey, Black Edition, and Jim Thompson, selected for their archival depth and material intelligence.
ANTIQUES IN USE
We believe the past belongs in the present not as nostalgia but as structure. Restoration, for us, is not cosmetic. It is the careful return of function, proportion, and voice. These objects are not preserved as artifacts. They are placed back into rooms, held in daily life, and allowed to gather new traces over time.
IN CIRCULATION
Whether sourcing a singular statement piece or assembling a layered interior with historical depth, we invite you to explore the collection. Our Journal documents objects, interiors, and the systems that give them meaning over time. Inquiries for private acquisition, trade collaboration, and commissioned sourcing are welcomed.
At Acanthus Home, each object is prepared not to impress, but to endure.
